Good news for job seekers in Bodoland! The Assam Cabinet had earlier approved the creation of 420 VCDC Secretary posts across 420 VCDCs in the BTR region, and the BTR Government has now officially released the recruitment notification. Candidates from the newly added 60 villages of Biswanath and Sonitpur districts, which were merged with Udalguri district in BTR, are also eligible to apply for these posts.
The CSB Kokrajhar, which conducts recruitment for 3rd grade and 4th grade government jobs in BTR, has released the much-awaited BTR VCDC Recruitment 2025 under PNRD Assam.
In Bodoland, the Village Council Development Committee (VCDC) functions as a local self-government body, serving as an alternative to the Village Panchayats of Assam. It is a grassroots-level institution responsible for managing local governance in the areas administered by the BTC. The VCDC secretary looks after village development and governance in the BTR. The Secretary manages its work, keeps records, runs government schemes, and connects the government with the local people.
BTR VCDC Secretary Result 2025
The Central Selection Board (CSB), Kokrajhar, declared the Final Result of the VCDC Secretary Recruitment 2025 on 18th August 2025. Earlier, the written exam results were announced on 28th July 2025 for the test held on 1 June 2025 to fill 420 posts. Qualified candidates were then called for the viva-voce, conducted on 3rd and 4th August 2025 at the CSB Office, Station Road, Kokrajhar.
