The Govt of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) has been actively working towards the development and promotion of the sericulture industry within its region. Sericulture, the art of raising silkworms for silk production, holds significant potential for economic growth and employment generation.

To strengthen this sector, the Directorate of Sericulture, BTC, Kokrajhar has announced recruitment for the positions of 02 Master Weavers. Master Weavers are skilled artisans who oversee the weaving process, ensuring the production of high-quality silk textiles.

Interested and eligible candidates may attend the walk-in-interview at Directorate of Sericulture, BTC on 25/07/2024 from 11 am.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the position of Master Weaver under the BTC Sericulture Recruitment 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:-

Educational Qualification

• Class VIII standard & above. 

Experience

• 3 years experience in weaving with teaching skill to demonstrate weaving actively.

Age Limit

•  21 years & above.

NOTE: Preference will be given to those candidates who have already worked under Directorate of Sericulture, BTC.

Selection Process

The selection process for the BTR Sericulture Master Weaver Recruitment 2024 will be through :-

• Walk-in Interview

The selected person will be posted in the CFC establishment in different district of BTR for handling theory and practical classes.
