Assam MBBS and BDS 2nd Round Online Counselling 

The second round of online counselling for MBBS/BDS Admission in Govt Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam will commence from 11/09/2024 to 13/09/2024.

Candidates who participated in the first round but did no receive a seat, and those who did not register earlier but fulfill all eligibility criteria, as well as meet the cut-off score in NEET UG 2024 are eligible for the 2nd round Online Counselling for Admission into the vacant MBBS/BDS seats in the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam for the session 2024. 

Online Portal for the Assam MBBS 2nd counselling will be available at the DTE official website dme.assam.gov.in from 11/09/2024 to 13/09/2024 (11:55 PM). The candidates who have already registered and participated in Round 1 state counselling need not register again and shall be able to take part in the Online choice filling of 2nd Round of Counselling for fresh allotment or change of College.

After completion of Online Registration process, Online Filling of Choice will be available from
14/09/2024 to 17/09/2024 (10:00 PM), Locking of choice will be available on 17/09/2024 (5 PM to 11:59 PM), after which the choice will be locked automatically if not locked earlier by the candidate. Processing of seat allotment will be from 18/09/2024 to 19/09/2024.

After processing the data, the result will be displayed along with modalities of admission on 20/09/2024. The provisionally selected candidates shall have to get admitted in the respective allotted institutions as directed between 25/09/2024 to 26/09/2024.

1st Round Online Counselling for Admission into MBBS/BDS Course in the Govt Medical & Dental Colleges of Assam, Session 2024

The Director of Medical Education or DME Assam has invited applications from candidates seeking admission into 1st year MBBS/BDS course in the Government Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges of Assam. The Assam MBBS Admission process for the year 2024 will be conducted and organized by the DME Assam. Candidates who have passed the NEET UG 2024 would be able to participate in the Assam MBBS and BDS admission counselling process. 

The online registration for the counselling will commence from 21/08/2024 to 23/08/2024 (11.55 PM), which will be available at the DME Assam official website at dme.assam.gov.in. Online filling of choices will be available from 24/08/2024 to 26/08/2024 (10 PM). Locking of choices will be available on 26/08/2024 (5 PM to 11.55 PM) after which the choices will be locked automatically if not locked earlier by the candidate. Processing of seat allotment will be from 27/08/2024 to 28/08/2024. After processing the data, a list of provisionally selected candidates along with manner of admission will be displayed in the official website of DME Assam on 29/08/2024. 

Candidates must have received qualifying marks in the NEET UG Test conducted by the NTA to be eligible for counselling process.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam MBBS Admission

To be eligible for MBBS Admission in Assam, candidates must meet the following criteria:–

1. The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the main subject.
2. Candidate must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) with the minimum required percentile. 

Assam MBBS Admission Process 2024

The admission process for MBBS in Assam involves several steps:-

1. NEET 2024 Registration: Candidate must register for NEET UG 2024 and appear for the exam. The NEET UG score is the primary criterion for admission.
2. State Counselling Registration: After the NEET results are declared, candidates need to register for the state counselling process conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam.
3. Merit List: A merit list based on NEET scores will be published. Candidates will be called for counseling based on their ranks.
4. Choice Filling and Seat Allotment: During counselling process, candidates must fill their choices of college and courses. Seats will be allotted based on NEET rank, preference, and availability.
5. Document Verification: Candidates must attend the document verification process with all necessary documents.
6. Admission Confirmation: After verification, candidates will receive an admission confirmation. They must report to the allotted college and complete the admission process.

How to Apply for Assam MBBS Admission 2024?

Only NEET UG 2024 qualified candidates can apply for the counselling process for admission into 1st year MBBS course and BDS Course in Govt Medical & Dental Colleges of Assam. The online registration for counselling will begin from 21/08/2024 to 23/08/2024 (11.55 PM)

2. Scroll down and look for the “Link for online Registration for NEET-UG 2024” under “Latest Section“
3. Click on the “Click Here to Register”
4. Click on the “New Registration” on the left side of the new page .
5. Read all the instruction carefully and click the Next button.
6. Fill out the application form with all required details and upload relevant documents.
7. Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
