ASTU has commenced the Assam JLEE 2024 registration process on 21/06/2024. Candidates who wish to appear for the Assam Joint Lateral Entry Examination 2024 have to fill the JLEE application form in online mode. The authority has activated the Assam JLEE 2024 registration link at astu.ac.in.

Aspirants who have completed a Diploma from a recognized polytechnic institute will be able to apply for the JLEE exam 2024 till 05/07/2024. JLEE 2024 exam date is scheduled on 21/07/2024 from 11 am – 2 pm. 

Assam JLEE Counselling 2024

JLEE 2024 Counselling: The 1st round of online counselling for admission into the B.Tech/MCA courses of Govt Engineering Colleges of Assam, based on the JLEE 2024 conducted by ASTU Guwahati will be held from 16th August to 22nd August 2024. Candidates who have qualified for the Assam JLEE 2024 can register and upload their documents at dte.assam.gov.in by using their Application No. of JLEE 2024 and Date of Birth. 

The details of the counselling fees, schedule for allotment of seat, submission of acceptance letter by the candidates and parent/guardian will be notified in the DTE’s website dte.assam.gov.in in due course of time. Accordingly, candidates are requested to visit the website frequently. 

What is JLEE 2024?

Joint Lateral Entrance Examination (JLEE) is an entrance exam, conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) for lateral entry into the 2nd year (3rd Semester) of the engineering programs (B.E/B.Tech) in various engineering college in Assam.  

JLEE exam is typically meant for diploma holders in polytechnic who seek to continue their education directedly into the 3rd semester of B.Tech programme. 

JLEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Admission to any of the Colleges a candidate must fulfill the following conditions:-

• Candidates must have completed a 3-year diploma in polytechnic from an institution recognized by the State Council of Technical Education (SCTE), Assam.
• A minimum aggregate of 45% marks for general category, and 40% for SC/ST candidates in their diploma is required.
• Candidate must be a permanent residents of Assam.
• Students of Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) and Assam Energy Institute, Sivasagar are also eligible for JLEE 2024.

NOTE: Final year diploma students can also apply for JLEE 2024 but, they must submit their final marksheet and pass certificate at the time of admission.

Candidates may follow the below steps to apply for this admission process –

1. Visit ATSU official website – https://astu.ac.in/
2. Click on the JLEE/JMEE 2024 Online Application Submission.
3. Candidate has to register first by filling the Application Form.
4. Then login using Application no./Username and Password.
5. Fill out all the personal and educational/academic details.
6. Upload necessary required documents.
7. Make payment of application fee as per your category and submit the form.
8. Take a print out of the summitted application form for future reference.
