Assam Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students

The Directorate of Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes, Assam, announced the opening of application for pre-matric scholarships for the academic year 2024. This scholarship has been named as Assam Pre Matric Scholarship for SC Students Class 1-8. This scholarships are for ST students from Assam.
The pre-matric scholarship is for SC students studying in classes 1 to 10 with annual income limit of Rs. 2.5 lakh. The last date to submit the pre-matric scholarship application is 15 Nov 2024.

Eligibility
- Student should have joint account with one of the parents. They need to submit front page of Joint Bank Pass Book.
- Student should belong to the scheduled caste. They need to submit the SC caste certificate.
- The annual income of the parents/guardians of the student should not be more than Rs. 2.50 Lakh per annum from all sources. They need to submit Annual Income Certificate issued by the Circle Officer.
Selection Process
The Head of the Institution (Principal) will prepare the list of applicants with details as per application
format and submit it to the concerned office of the Sub-Divisional Welfare Officer, along with
the original application forms and other relevant documents.
All Sub-Divisional Welfare Officers will then scrutinize the application forms verify the Castes
Certificate, Annual Income Certificate & Bank A/C details of the applicants and submit the
compiled list both in Hard & Soft Copy (in Excel format only) of the Institutions to the office of
the undersigned on or before 15th Nov. 2024.
